I've been told that Sesame Street was the childhood tv show of my choice when I was younger, so I thought that this title seemed appropriate :) but I digress...
Today's run is brought to you by the number 2 for several different reasons:
1. There were TWO main motivator factors for my run today - my major cheat meal yesterday and Trenton, my running buddy.
First of all, I am a firm believer in the 80 - 20 rule, clean eating 80% of the time and indulgence 20% of the time. While I have a ton of admiration for those that can stick to a clean eating lifestyle more than 80% of the time, I know that it is not realistic for my personality or my lifestyle. I know myself well enough to know that if I resist temptations too many times, I eventually cave and OVERindulge in those naughty treats -- my guilty pleasures: pizza, Diet Coke, and wine! So to keep from overindulging, I allow myself a treat every now and then GUILT-FREE! When I can have these cheat meals each week it often reminds me why I want to eat clean most of the time and I don't feel deprived.

Trenton is my AMAZING running buddy that I was matched with in March. He is a young boy that cannot enjoy the same fitness activities as me because of physical disabilities. Every single one of my runs, the easy and the hard ones, are dedicated to this little man and his sweet face pushes me to be better every single day!
2. You should have TWO pairs of running shoes if you are a regular runner. I found out today that the shoes that I normally work out in are a tiny bit too small for running - and my toes are feeling it! Luckily I follow this little tip of having two pairs of shoes and will be going back to my regular running shoes tomorrow.

3. I was able to complete my six mile run TWO minutes faster than my goal! This is a huge feat for me and I'm just plain excited to share it :)
