Today began week three of my PiYo journey and I'm already feeling a difference in my body. There are a couple of great things I'm noticing:
1. The workouts aren't getting easier, but I'm able to challenge and push myself more.
2. For the first time in my running life I'm not crazy sore the morning after.
3. Everything on my body is feeling tighter and more fit.
I made the terrible mistake of not measuring myself before starting PiYo, but I PROMISE I'm seeing and feeling the results even if I don't have the numbers to prove it!
I'm trying to be as diligent as I can about sticking to the nutrition guide that goes with PiYo, but as in other areas of my life -- I'm not perfect! Here is my meal plan for this week. I prepare my snacks and breakfasts all on Sunday nights. I'm lucky enough to have an amazing lunch provided each day at my school so I try to focus on one serving of fruit, one protein, and two vegetables for lunch. Dinners and weekends are our challenge! The meals I plan for are clean and healthy but that doesn't mean we don't cheat and go out -- we love to have a good time. Our philosophy is balance is best and as long as we are consistent with our fitness we can have our happy lives :) What's crazy is the more we are consistent with our healthy choices, the more we crave them!
