One of my all time favorite foods is pizza! While I know that the buttery, enriched flour pizza dough and greasy, cheesy toppings are not the best choice when it comes to clean eating, I generally allow myself to indulge every now and then. Because I know how great I feel when I eat clean and I know the amazing results that I can achieve when I trust the process of exercise and clean eating, I continue to search for ways to balance out my cravings with my goals. This recipe has been a great piece to that puzzle!
I found this recipe on Pinterest (be sure to follow me to see all the great recipes I find there!) and it sent me to this amazing blog: Brunch Time Baker. I used the great recipe that she shares on this page: http://brunchtimebaker.com/2014/03/30/magimix-food-processor-review-the-best-low-carb-cauliflower-pizza-crust-recipe/
I was amazed at how few ingredients were needed, how quickly the dough came together, and how easy it was to make. The most difficult part was squeezing all the water out the cauliflower once it was steamed in the microwave! It was VERY hot and not easy to squeeze all the water out. I recommend letting it cool off a bit before attempting the squeezing :)
When baking the crust, I simply just sprayed Pam onto a cookie sheet and baked away. I would recommend using parchment paper underneath and will do just that next time. The crust didn’t stick to bad, but it was definitely a struggle to get it off the sheet and keep it “pretty.”

But what you all want to know is does it really taste like pizza? I will tell you that I absolutely LOVED it! It certainly is not bread and doesn’t have the doughy texture that a pizza place would deliver, but the taste was very Italian and cheesy with just the perfect about of crunch. If you are a deep dish lover, this won’t do the trick but those thin crust lovers, eat away!!
The overall opinion in our house: DELICIOUS!
